Courtney A. Johnson, an associate in Gibbons P.C.’s Government & Regulatory Affairs Group, is the recipient of a Q1 2025 Emerging Leader Award from Profiles in Diversity Journal®. Ms. Johnson is among just a handful of honorees recognized as “rising professionals who demonstrate excellence, integrity, and innovation in their organizations” and who “are shaping workplace culture and inspiring colleagues as they embark on their leadership journeys.”
Based in the firm’s Trenton office, Ms. Johnson represents clients before the New Jersey legislature, municipal bodies, and state regulatory agencies. Her extensive experience also includes a background in complex civil litigation, as well as pro bono work regarding constitutional issues.
Ms. Johnson is a recent graduate of the distinguished Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s Fellowship Program. Her other recognitions include the New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for 2022, 2023, and 2024; Insider NJ ’s “Insider 100: Lobbying Power” list for 2024; and The National Black Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40” list for 2022, 2023, and 2024. She also was featured on New Jersey Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter’s 2023 and 2024 Women’s Power List, acknowledging women who are helping shatter the glass ceiling that poses barriers to women and minorities in the Garden State.
