Jeremy M. Brooks Joins the Gibbons Employment & Labor Law Group

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that Jeremy M. Brooks has joined the firm as an associate in the Employment & Labor Law Group in the firm’s Newark office.

Mr. Brooks was most recently an associate with Genova Burns LLC in Newark, New Jersey, defending employers against discrimination, whistleblower, and restrictive covenant claims in state and federal courts. Prior to Genova Burns, he was an associate at Rainone Coughlin Minchello, LLC in Iselin, New Jersey, representing public entities against civil rights, employment law, and personal injury claims.

Mr. Brooks clerked for both the Honorable Gary K. Wolinetz, J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court’s Civil Division, and the Honorable Marc R. Brown, J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court’s Family Division. For the former, he drafted court orders and statements of reasons related to complex dispositive motions and mediated small claims and landlord-tenant disputes. For the latter, he wrote court orders and opinions on post-judgment matrimonial matters and mediated pro se disputes. He also interned for the Honorable Robert J. Mega, J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court’s Civil Division, who, at the time, handled Union County’s complex business litigation matters and is currently the Presiding Judge of the County’s Chancery Division.

Mr. Brooks earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Newark, where he was Managing Editor of the Notes & Comments section for the Rutgers Computer & Technology Law Journal, and his B.A. from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. He is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and U.S. Court of Appeals–Third Circuit.
