Gibbons P.C. is pleased to welcome Ian M. Eastwick to the firm as an associate in the Real Property Group, resident in the Newark office. At Gibbons, Mr. Eastwick’s practice will concentrate on real estate transactional matters, with a particular focus on negotiating complex commercial leases, acquisitions and dispositions, development and redevelopment, and real estate financing across a variety of asset classes.

Mr. Eastwick previously was an associate at Beattie Padovano, LLC in Montvale, New Jersey. There, he focused his legal practice on commercial real estate transactions, representing both landlords and tenants in all phases of commercial lease negotiation, as well as both buyers and sellers of commercial real estate that included retail properties, office buildings, warehouses, restaurants, vacant land, and more. His extensive experience in transactional real estate has involved preparing and negotiating purchase and sale agreements and complex commercial lease agreements for a wide array of businesses. With respect to commercial leasing, Mr. Eastwick has significant experience in drafting and negotiating lease-related agreements that range from subleases, ground leases, lease amendments, assignments, terminations and renewals to subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements (SNDAs), guarantees, estoppels, and other ancillary lease documents. His prior work also has entailed representing landlords and tenants in commercial lease disputes and advising on residential real estate sales, purchases, and leasing.

Before joining Beattie Padovano, Mr. Eastwick was an associate at The Law Offices of Joseph A. Raia, Esq., P.C., in Englewood, New Jersey, where he started as a law clerk. He earned his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and his B.B.A., in Business Management, from Stetson University.

Mr. Eastwick has been included on the list for New Jersey Super Lawyers® “Rising Stars” in the Real Estate field for five consecutive years since 2020.
