Gibbons P.C. was the highest ranking law firm among this year’s “Best Places to Work in New Jersey,” reaching #15 on this annual list published by NJBIZ, the premier weekly newspaper covering business in New Jersey. This is the twelfth year in a row that Gibbons has been ranked one of the best places to work in the state in the “large company” (more than 250 employees) category. The awards were presented at an evening ceremony on April 26 at iPlay America’s Event Center in Freehold, NJ, with representatives from 100 companies in attendance.
“We are honored each and every year we are listed among the Best Places to Work in New Jersey,” said Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of the firm. “We strive to make sure our employees remain highly satisfied in their jobs, so that we can continue to offer the best possible service to our clients, many of whom are also ranked on this list.”
The Best Places to Work program is intended to recognize and honor companies that benefit the state’s economy, workforce, and fellow businesses. This year, NJBIZ ranked 100 companies in two groups: 65 small/medium companies (15-249 employees) and 35 large companies. Companies from across the state entered the two-part nomination process to determine the Best Places to Work, which entailed an analysis of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics, as well as an employee survey to measure the employee experience.
This year’s nomination highlighted the firm’s “Gibbons Experience” program. The Gibbons Experience is a generous, innovative benefits package that adds to the exhaustive list of traditional benefits offered by the firm and encompasses other policies, technologies, and initiatives to support the firm’s personnel in their career progression and in their work/life balance. The “Gibbons Experience” also includes a number of employee appreciation events that provide Gibbons personnel opportunities to socialize, relax, and otherwise enjoy downtime at work or with work colleagues. These events, hosted throughout the year, consist of, among others, holiday BBQs, monthly “Jeans Day for Charity,” a week-long Saint Patrick’s Day celebration, a health and wellness fair, and a holiday party in December for all employees and their families.
