Gibbons P.C. is one of only seven law firms ranked in New Jersey in the 2023 edition of Benchmark Litigation to earn a “Highly Recommended” designation, the publication’s top honor. The newest edition of Benchmark Litigation also highlights seven Gibbons attorneys as New Jersey litigation stars and two as future stars, and features two Gibbons attorneys on its “40 & Under List.”

Benchmark Litigation is the only publication on the market to focus exclusively on litigation in the United States. Firms included in the guide are chosen after six months of research that involves a comprehensive nomination process and extensive interviews with clients and peers in attorneys’ respective marketplaces. Attorneys must be consistently recommended by those clients and peers as reputable and effective litigators to earn rankings.

The seven Gibbons attorneys named among the state litigation stars, along with their areas of practice, are:

Christine A. Amalfe
Employment & Labor Law

Thomas J. Cafferty
Commercial & Criminal Litigation

Kim M. Catullo
Products Liability

Patrick C. Dunican Jr.
Commercial & Criminal Litigation

Michael R. Griffinger
Commercial & Criminal Litigation

Lawrence S. Lustberg
Commercial & Criminal Litigation

Peter J. Torcicollo
Commercial & Criminal Litigation

Ms. Catullo, Chair of the Products Liability Group, was also ranked among the nation’s “Top 250 Women in Litigation” for 2022. Robert C. Brady and Samuel I. Portnoy, Directors in the Commercial & Criminal Litigation Group, were highlighted in the Future Stars category, for attorneys who are consistently referenced by peers and clients as litigators likely to become “local litigation stars” in future Benchmark guides.

In addition, Gibbons Commercial & Criminal Litigation Group Directors Kate E. Janukowicz and Caroline E. Oks were selected to the guide’s Benchmark “40 & Under List” for 2022. These attorneys have been deemed the most promising emerging talent in their respective litigation communities by peers and clients.

Benchmark Litigation also published a practice-specific guide for Labor & Employment. Gibbons was one of only three firms selected as “Highly Recommended” in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and six Group Directors were selected as “Labor and Employment Stars – Northeast.” They are: Christine A. Amalfe, Kelly Ann Bird, Susan L. Nardone, John C. Romeo, Kristin D. Sostowski, and Richard S. Zackin.
