Gibbons has changed the skyline of Newark with the addition of the firm’s logo atop its headquarters building at One Gateway Center. The sign was officially lit for the first time on September 19. The firm’s directors and counsel from all four of its offices were on hand to celebrate the event.

“The sign trumpets the firm’s move to our new offices and reflects our 80-year commitment to the city of Newark,” stated Patrick C. Dunican, Jr., Managing Director of Gibbons. “Our clients will now see the Gibbons brand illuminated on the South and East sides of One Gateway Center as they drive through the city, land at Newark Liberty International Airport or travel on the New Jersey Turnpike.” Dunican continued: “The sign heralds Gibbons’ arrival into its new 21st Century headquarters and ironically trumpets the firm’s ideas about cost savings, including smaller partner offices, improved state-of-the-art technology to enhance client service and a substantial lease cost savings which we intend to pass on to our clients. It is also symbolic of a rock-solid institution steeped in tradition.”

The creation of the sign was a part of the firm’s relocation of its headquarters to One Gateway Center. Gibbons has six floors of offices and conference space in the building, all featuring the design and technological innovations of a 21st Century law firm. Highlights of the headquarters include the Gibbons Conference Center, featuring stunning views of the City of Newark; a Moot Court Room; Attorney Lounge; sleek, newly designed attorney offices and staff workspaces, technologically advanced communication systems, and innovative audio-visual capabilities throughout the entire office.
