Gibbons Attorney Presented With Young Leadership Award For Community Outreach

Jonathan S. Liss, Counsel in the Business & Commercial Litigation Department of Gibbons P.C., has been awarded the Julius and Bessie Cohn Young Leadership Award for community outreach by the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest New Jersey. Mr. Liss was presented this award on May 21st at the Federation’s Annual Meeting.

Established over 90 years ago, the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest New Jersey is the largest Jewish philanthropy in New Jersey, encompassing Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union, and parts of Somerset counties and addressing needs locally, in Israel, and around the world. The Julius and Bessie Cohn Young Leadership Award is presented annually to two young leaders who have demonstrated growth, leadership, and potential in service to the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ and the Greater MetroWest Jewish community. Mr. Liss serves as a member on the Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest New Jersey’s Board of Trustees since 2010 and as a chair of the Budget and Finance committee since 2013. He also served as Chair of the Young Leadership Division from 2011 to 2013.

At Gibbons, Mr. Liss concentrates in complex business and corporate litigation, with an emphasis on shareholder and corporate governance disputes, business torts, commercial contract disputes, and general commercial litigation. Mr. Liss has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial litigation, from the discovery process through final dispute resolution, and has represented clients in matters at the trial and appellate levels in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
