Courtney A. Johnson, an associate in the Gibbons P.C. Government Affairs & Regulatory Group, is poised to complete the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) Fellowship Program for 2024. She recently attended the program’s fall Fellows meeting, where she connected with in-house lawyers for many notable business entities such as Apple and Sanofi, as well as private practice attorneys from across the country.

LCLD is “a diverse network of 7,000+ attorneys committed to building an equitable and inclusive legal profession” and counts more than 400 organizations, including Gibbons, among its membership. The Fellowship Program dedicates itself to “preparing diverse, high-potential, mid-career attorneys … with professional and personal development opportunities, leadership training, relationship-building resources and access to (LCLD Members) Managing Partners and General Counsel.” This year’s class attended Fellows meetings in San Diego, California, and Washington, DC; regional meetings held in cities throughout the country; learning experiences; leadership lunches; and virtual programming, in addition to working collaboratively with their accountability group cohorts.

“The LCLD program is very well done with tools and resources that Fellows can quickly implement in their practice and bring back to their organizations,” she remarked.

Ms. Johnson, who represents firm clients before the New Jersey Legislature, municipal bodies, and state regulatory agencies, has been included on both the New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars list and Insider NJ “Insider 100: Lobbying Power” list for 2024, as well as The National Black Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40” list for 2022, 2023, and 2024.
