For the 19th Consecutive Year, Gibbons Named One of the NJBIZ Best Places to Work in New Jersey

Gibbons P.C. ranked #11 and among the top 25 percent in the “large company” category on the “Best Places to Work in New Jersey” annual list, published by NJBIZ, one of the state’s leading business publications. This marks the 19th year in a row that Gibbons has been recognized in the “large company” category, having appeared on this list since its inception in 2005. The awards were presented at a dinner and ceremony on September 26 at The Event Center at iPlay America in Freehold, New Jersey.

The Best Places to Work program honors companies that benefit the state’s economy, workforce, and fellow businesses. Every year, NJBIZ ranks participating companies in three groups: small (15 to 49 employees); medium (50-249 employees); and large (more than 250 employees). Companies from across the state enter the two-part nomination process to determine the Best Places to Work, which entails an analysis of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics, along with an employee survey to measure each company’s employee experience.

This year’s nomination highlighted the firm’s “Gibbons Experience” program, a generous, innovative benefits package that adds to the extensive traditional benefits offered by the firm, with policies, technologies, and initiatives to support the firm’s personnel in both their career progression and work/life balance. The Gibbons Experience also features a number of employee appreciation events that provide Gibbons personnel opportunities to socialize, relax, and otherwise enjoy downtime at work or with work colleagues. These events, hosted throughout the year, include, among others, holiday BBQs, a “Mentoring Challenge” for associates and their director mentors, bi-monthly “Bagel Tuesdays,” a week-long Saint Patrick’s Day celebration, a health and wellness fair and speaker series, and a holiday party in December at NJPAC for all employees. Additionally, the firm has continued to promote employee health and safety, flexibility, and the preservation of our cherished “Gibbons” culture by offering remote work days and absorbing the increases in health insurance premiums.
