Gibbons P.C. is pleased to welcome Adam Hassan Morsy to the firm as an associate in the Real Property Group, resident in the Newark office. Mr. Morsy brings his experience in managing all manner of real property transactions, including drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, loan and securities agreements, joint venture agreements, lease agreements, entity formation documents, and other ancillary documents for a range of property types, including office buildings, warehouses, hotels, self-storage facilities, and mixed-use retail facilities. In addition, he assists his clients in coordinating property due diligence, including title review, plats and surveys, zoning reports, environmental reports, reciprocal easement agreements and declarations, and entity organizational documents.
Mr. Morsy was previously an associate in the New York City office of a Philadelphia-based AmLaw 100 law firm, an associate with one of New York City’s largest, real estate-focused law firms, and an associate with an AmLaw 200 law firm based in Hackensack, New Jersey. Throughout his career, Mr. Morsy has skillfully represented both purchasers and sellers, landlords and tenants, and borrowers in connection with all manner of real property transactions and asset types. Most recently, he managed commercial real property sales and acquisitions and large portfolio transactions; advised developers of the real estate components of tax liability reduction strategies related to their projects; and drafted and negotiated office, retail, and industrial/warehouse leases and other related agreements on behalf of some of the largest national landlords and tenants.
Mr. Morsy’s pro bono efforts have focused on representing various nonprofit organizations throughout New York and New Jersey in the negotiation of leasing, finance, and purchasing of office space, community space, and low-income housing.
Mr. Morsy is included on the Thomson Reuters New York Metro Super Lawyers “Rising Star” lists for 2023 and 2024. He was recognized by the New Jersey State Bar Association Commission on Professionalism as a 2024 Professional Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Morsy was previously the President of the New Jersey Muslim Lawyers Association, with which he remains an active member. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and a B.A. in International Studies from The College of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York. Mr. Morsy is fluent in Arabic.
