Preservation and production difficulties abound, particularly with the proliferation of new messaging applications over the past few years. The ethical issues that arise in the context of social media discovery only add to these challenges. This session will provide a general overview of the different categories of social media now subject to discovery, offer practical preservation and collection suggestions, and discuss ethical pitfalls associated with social media discovery.
