The key to successful securities arbitration and mediation is telling your story in memorable and persuasive fashion. the New Jersey State Bar Association CLE program, “Securities Arbitration & Mediation – Telling Your Story,” will provide tips on how to master those skills while also delivering up-to-date information on recent developments in the law. Gathered from the “best and brightest” of the New York State Bar, this program will highlight the most critical advancements in securities arbitration and mediation since this program was last presented in 2012.

On Tuesday, March 11, Edward W. Larkin, a Director in the Gibbons Business & Commercial Litigation Group, will serve as a speaker on the panel, “Pleadings Defenses and Taking the Case.” Mr. Larkin’s panel will discuss:

    • Questions to ask prospective clients.
    • Making pleadings user-friendly: How long and detailed should they be and how to tell your client’s story so that the arbitrators will remember them for the hearing
