Robert F. Coyne, a Director in the Corporate Group, and Lawrence A. Goldman, a Director in the Corporate Group, will serve as speakers at the upcoming event, “Going Global: Fundamentals of Entering the Export Market.”

Mr. Coyne will focus his discussion on U.S. export control laws, presenting on the following topics:

• • An overview of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the regulations administered by the Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC)

• • A discussion of when a license is required for export of items which are “subject to the EAR”

• An illustration of regulated items and regulated transactions, as well as some common exceptions to licensing requirements

Mr. Goldman will expand upon “The Nuts and Bolts of an Interest Charge DISC – a Tax-Friendly Aid to Exporters” and will cover the following issues:

• • How an IC-DISC is organized

• The terms of the agreement between the IC-DISC and its affiliated sponsor
