Ms. Catullo leads the Gibbons Products Liability Group, which the New Jersey Law Journal has included on its “Litigation Departments of the Year” list for products liability practices. She concentrates her legal practice in products liability litigation, defending multisector corporations, including FORTUNE 50 and 100 healthcare companies, in high-profile litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country, including national class actions and Multidistrict Litigation. These cases involve cutting-edge legal issues for many nationally recognized name-brand products. Admitted in two states, the District of Columbia, and multiple federal courts, she not only handles complex pharmaceutical/medical device related litigation, but also litigates matters involving a gamut of products, ranging from recreational vehicles to industrial equipment and consumer goods. In addition to her litigation practice, she counsels corporate clients regarding various safety issues which may arise during the product development, marketing, and distribution stages.
Clients also rely on Ms. Catullo’s litigation skills in complex commercial matters and high-stakes mass tort litigation. She handles or supervises numerous complex, high-profile matters, which recently have included a groundbreaking settlement described in the media as “a rare feat of legal mediation,” as well as one of Law360’s “Top Product Liability Cases” of its year. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Catullo counsels corporate clients regarding various safety issues which may arise during the product development, marketing, and distribution stages.
In addition to chairing the very active Products Liability Group, Ms. Catullo is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, which devises and oversees all aspects of firm management, including policy development, financial management, growth strategies, and operations procedures, and she is Administrative Director of the New York office. She is also one of the leaders of the Gibbons Women’s Initiative, a highly successful platform for new and senior Gibbons women attorneys to participate with each other, clients, and high-level representatives from business and academia in quality educational and social programs that improve knowledge; foster teamwork; provide vital mentoring, networking, and business development opportunities; and promote the role of women in business.
