Ms. Hradil, Team Leader of the firm’s Appellate practice, concentrates her business litigation practice in federal and state courts in New Jersey and New York. She practices at both the trial court and appellate levels, representing clients in a wide range of complex commercial disputes, helping them navigate the legal ramifications of their businesses. Ms. Hradil has litigated all varieties of business disputes, including business tort, professional malpractice, breach of contract, antitrust, securities, restrictive covenant, and unfair competition matters.
Ms. Hradil has significant experience seeking and opposing applications for emergent and other injunctive relief and has also represented clients in class action and multi-district litigation. She additionally brings her substantial litigation experience to bear when advising clients in advance of litigation as to their contractual rights and obligations. Ms. Hradil frequently counsels corporations as to potential legal exposure, regulatory issues, and alternative courses of action to effectuate business goals and comply with applicable law, including providing advice to foreign and multinational corporations on issues of U.S. law.
Ms. Hradil began practicing in 1998, following her clerkship for the Honorable Morton I. Greenberg, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She has also served as an adjunct professor of law at Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, where she taught legal writing.

General Commercial Litigation
Ms. Hradil’s representative matters include:
- Defending a national law firm in a malpractice claim alleging multimillion dollars in damages.
- Representing a bankruptcy trustee in his attempts to enforce promissory notes and recover fraudulent transfers seeking tens of millions of dollars for the benefit of creditors.
- Representing former customers in connection with the Madoff SIPC Liquidation, including asserting securities fraud claims against a former officer and defending the SIPC Trustee’s application to stay that litigation.
- Defending a biotechnology company against a multibillion-dollar antitrust claim by a competitor involving an alleged illegal tying arrangement.
- Representing a leading medical device manufacturer in numerous matters to both enforce and defeat restrictive covenants in sales force contracts.
- Representing a national manufacturer and distributor in obtaining preliminary injunctive relief against a competitor in an unfair competition matter.
- Defending the sole shareholder of the distributor of a dietary supplement in the context of one of the largest bankruptcy cases in New Jersey.
- Representing foreign national in multibillion-dollar estate dispute.
- Counseling various corporations in the termination of contractual relationships.
Appellate
Ms. Hradil has represented clients in a variety of appeals in both state and federal courts. In federal court, she has represented clients in appeals to the Court of Appeals from District Court Orders, as well as to the District Court from Bankruptcy Court orders and discovery rulings by Magistrate Judges. She has worked not only in connection with appeals from final Orders, but also with leave to pursue interlocutory appeals and with mandamus petitions.
Ms. Hradil has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, and Ninth Circuits, the New Jersey Supreme Court, and the New York State Appellate Division, First Department.
Electronic Discovery & Information Management
As Co-Chair of the firm’s E-Discovery Task Force, Ms. Hradil has navigated all aspects of litigation-related electronic data, preservation, and discovery issues. She has experience managing large discovery projects from commencement to completion, including developing case-specific protocols for and supervising the collection, review, and production of large volumes of electronic data and documents. Mindful of the often costly nature of discovery in today’s complex litigation, she helps clients achieve an efficient and cost-effective process through her active management and oversight of the discovery process.
Ms. Hradil routinely advises clients regarding discovery obligations related to existing or potential litigation. She also frequently advises clients on issues related to information management and litigation readiness and has developed and presented training programs on these issues. Ms. Hradil has spoken on a number of e-discovery practice management issues, including managing the e-discovery workflow, developing and conducting a defensible collection strategy, litigation hold procedures, and quality control processes.
